Luke joined WIFC back in 2006, but a year-long foot injury sustained when climbing over a fence to collect a stray ball at the Met Police ground has seriously curtailed his appearances. Before the injury, Luke had established himself in the squad with a string of steady performances, and had notched his debut goal in a 5-2 win over Southampton. Hopefully Luke will soon be ready to resume his WIFC career and will enjoy a long career with the club.
